Happy New Year to all the peepsters.  :)

How will you be bringing in 2008?

What was the best thing that happened to you in 2007?

People will come from strange lands to hear me speak my words of wisdom. They will ask me the secret of life and I will tell them. Then maybe I'll finish off with a song. The Nomad

1) Going round some bars in Rothesay with Lucy, (and hopefully getting a few snogs off other birds along the way when she's not looking).

2) Spending 3 weeks in the Philippines, having never previously been outside Europe. It was like being in another country.

Dammit, Nige, you made me laugh again.
Personally, I'm having a quiet night. I'll be working tomorrow and then making a meal for the family early evening. Roast pork, crackling, mashed potatoes, apple sauce and gravy. Talk about comfort food.
Have a great time, everyone.

You shouldn't be out working on New Years Day, Roger. Why don't you just stop in and churn out a few scripts for your cartoon strips instead.

Happy New Year to everyone.

As usual, I'll be seeing if I can stay awake longer than the grandchildren. The older they get, the later they can stay awake!

"The best thing that happened to me in 2007"? - well, I'm still alive and solvent; everyone I know is well and I still have a roof over my head. All in all, I had a happy year.

Happy New Year to you all

I watched the fireworks at the Falls of Dochart and then toddled home...I can't believe I've reached an age where I 'toddle' anywhere

2007 had a lot of highlights, for which I'm grateful

If you did lose your sanity, would you realise? After all, you haven't so far.

Has to be my hot-air balloon ride over the Wrekin and surrounding Shropshire fields, including the most stunning of sunsets, reflected in the meandering River Severn on Easter Sunday (as reported at the time on this forum, with pictures). And I have my Milton Keynes sky dive to look forward to this year, all thanks to my beautiful better half. Yes, I do know I'm a lucky sod!  ;D

Happy New Year to you all!
I apologise, in advance.

Happy New Year everyone!

Our two went out, one to watch the fireworks on Sydney Harbour with her boyfriend, the other to some club or other with his girlfriend.  We  had a quiet night in watching the third "Pirates of the Caribbean" DVD, which I found extremely difficult to follow, hubby didn't last till midnight, but I stubbornly stayed up till 2008 and then went to bed, after trying to reply to a couple of Happy New Year text messages without success. Woken at 5.45am by son returning home.

2007 highlight would have to be my trip to New Zealand to see old friends and relations.  Wonderful holiday where I could just relax and enjoy myself.

All the best for 2008!
