I left him in the pub with his friends. They had just ordered several bottles of wine so I doubt if there will be "his side of the story".
We had a great night (and quiet compared to ones we had in Glasgow, but that's another story).  The hotel was a bit dodgy but they let us stay up late playing pool.  All told we had 3 nights in Glasgow, 2 in Edinburgh and just the one in Dundee - all right in the middle of a scorching heat wave.  Glasgow is a brilliant place and knocked all my preconceptions about it right out the window. In my view, Edinburgh isn't a patch on it so I whole heartidly recommend a stay there to anyone going up to Scotland.

It was great to see Roger again too (and, despite what anyone else says, he doesn't look a day over 83).

So it's been another ten years: is there another get-together sorted with Rob?
