Attracting New Members
« on: February 09, 2007, 05:40:23 AM »
I was thinking of something that might attract new members - all those guests who lurk but do not register an account. So I was wondering what everyone thought of the following:

Quit lurking, register an account and say "hi". Here are the benefits of registering:

1. You get the ability to "boo" and "heckle" Tarquin Thunderthighs lll, and lower his Esteem even further into a negative pit of despair. We're all doing it, all us registered members. There is the theory that if we get Tarquin well into the negatives, he will think that everyone - even new members - despise him, and will collapse into a quivering jelly of insecurity. Admittedly, this is cruel, buy hey, it's fun anyway.

2. Isn't 1. enough?

I see you have edited the above, Mr Mince. I can only imagine what the first draft may have contained.

However, I am pleased to note that you have at last emerged from the closet.

I apologise, in advance.

By the way, your current negative rating (which I feel certain will be temporary somehow) - it wasn't me.
I apologise, in advance.

She's merely an amateur.

Do we need new members? I like things just the way they are. A local site for LOCAL people.

Well I've not used my "applaud or heckle" yet.
And since no one has applauded me then I don't think I will. ;D

Thought I would get at least 1 applaud for my BP picture.

Sounds like the footsteps of a horse you've backed, Roger.
Nostalgia is not what it used to be. 😟
