Okay, I'll just waffle...
« on: July 11, 2008, 09:38:56 PM »
As I write this, a T.V. advert is using "Theme From A Summer Place" to promote whatever it is it's promoting. When I was 12 years old, I wanted to be Troy Donahue, the star of that movie. That is just a great name.
Today, I was writing some Beau strips. (Egon asks Beau to take some nude photos of him to send to a womens' magazine). Then the mail arrived and I sorted through the charity requests once again. As I have mentioned before, I appear to be on the list of every charity known to mankind and I made some distinctly uncharitable comments.
I spoke to my daughter who has decided to join my wife, sister and I on our holiday in Portugal later this year. She is bringing her boyfriend. I regard this as an excellent opportunity to unnerve the young man. He is an artist and there is obviously no future in that kind of occupation so I will point this out over a cold beer or two. Apparently, he also supports Rangers. I think I'll punch him while shouting " Never mind supporting Rangers---support my daughter!"  This is a really clever line and I will try to make it sound spontaneous.
All in all, it's been a nice day.

I would have though you just being there would do that.

I hope he replies: "Yes, I read your post on Beau Peep."

No excuse---a grammatical error. To quote one of the kids in "The Simpsons", "Me fail English? Unpossible!"

He supports Rangers to Mince,Is the same as English spelt backwards, it is a nonentity's.
A few unconnected words that have no meaning.

Am I the only one who does not understand a word of this?

It basically means that you won't understand a word of it.

You're welcome.
I apologise, in advance.

I agree that Peter uses the English language imaginatively but I like his style. I'm particularly fond of the way he uses punctuation. It's as though he loads a shotgun with commas and full stops and then fires it at the paragraph he's just typed. Anyway, as I said, I LIKE his style. Long may he continue!
