Lack of proof-readers. Anyone need a job?

This was sent to me by email, apologies if you have read it before.

This one I caught in the SGV Tribune the other day and called the Editorial Room and asked who wrote this. It took two or three readings before the editor realized that what he was reading was impossible!!! They put in a correction the next day.

The headlines are very amusing.

What I find less amusing about these things (in fact, it's downright annoying) are the comments after each one, presumably added by the person who compiled the list, but possibly someone further down the email chain, which seek to add to the fun. Not only are most of these remarks guilty of proof-reading errors themselves, but they are also trite and completely unnecessary, and almost certainly added by the kind of person you go out of your way to avoid at cocktail parties.

And if you now tell me that you added them, Vult, I'm going to shrivel up and die.

Maybe it was an email attachment Mince sent out, (and he added them).
