The new three-part documentary Comics Britannia is the centrepiece of a whole season on BBC Four celebrating UK comics and US artists' influence upon them. .  Starts next Monday, 10th September.

On the BBC4 website (http://www.bbc.co.uk/bbcfour/comicsbritannia/) there's a discussion section to write about your favourite cartoon characters.

Who's going to get the ball rolling for Beau and Horace?

Rob, I'm not sure that Beau and Horace fall into this category. I had a quick look at your link and it appears to consist of mainly children's comic characters. Having said that, I'm looking forward to the series. Anytime cartoons get a mention on national T.V., I'm interested. I know I'm biased, but I feel that the appeal of cartooning is something that has been ignored by television for far too long.
