It was like the 4 teams who were supposed to win won.

The refs calls were just but not necessarily equal. The incidents they let slip by were what nudged the games in the directions they were meant to go. Haaland who dragged the world along with his Cinderella story let us all down, especially his teammate Heggem when he sabotaged his own team's potentially winning goal.

I will see this World Cup out, but I think it will just be a one time fandom for me. Being a football is suffering 90 mins of anxiety and generally a feeling of disappointment. 

Out of the 4 teams going to semi-finals I think Spain has the most gentlemanly, zippy and accurate team.

Who is everyone rooting for now?

People will come from strange lands to hear me speak my words of wisdom. They will ask me the secret of life and I will tell them. Then maybe I'll finish off with a song. The Nomad
