Did you honestly think that question was not rhetorical, or indeed this one?

Do I look as though I did? (That's rhetorical).
Nostalgia is not what it used to be. 😟

Oh, it is, is it?
That's me trying to join in.
I was going to do something about looking up to women who strode above the glass ceiling, but changed my mind.

Don't tell me it's you! It's not you, is it? It sounds like you, right enough.

Back to great Indian Names.
Running Bear is the sort of Indian name with which we are familiar, or White Dove for the burrds.

However, there were Native Americans with names like Matthew Mudeater. Lazy Boy and Billy Bowlegs. These would seem to be more akin to racehorse names. There are also other names like Bear Looks Down From Fork In Tree.
The great Glasgow cartoonist Bud Neill had a strip called Lobey Dosser which featured Chief Toffee Teeth.

I came up with some of my own, but let's not encourage any Native Americans to view this thread. They wouldn't see the funny side.

1) Elk Who Doesn't See The Funny Side.
2) Bear With Attitude
3) Teddy Two Tummies
4) Hairy Mary
5) Big Bum
6) Ghost Who Walks In A Funny Manner
7) Idiot Who Stands In Doorway Neither Coming In Nor Going Out
8 ) Big Hat Tiny Willy
9) Limp Handshake
10) Eyes Too Close Together.
