"Billy The Hut" is like a cowboy name. (Apart from the hut bit.)
Nostalgia is not what it used to be. 😟

Hutto! I remember you in the BAOR inter school athletics! Weedy little oik, national health specs (with Elastoplast over one lens). They had to cancel triple jump because you wouldn't get out of the sand pit.

Well I never!

Excellent! Tell us all about Pooper McGookin, Hutto.
I apologise, in advance.

Bill Hut(ton) - no, he's not.

I thought a ton was 110 lbs. (Mind you, I never could get to grips with this foreign metric rubbish!)

See. Give a little info and they think they know you!  Ha!!
I was not the one with the specs, that was you Malc.
Sorry folks, I don't believe Malc and I have met before.

Tarks, far be it for me to disagree with my iPhone app, but it did say that much for a metric Ton.

Having just got home, I see that my BP mugs have arrived. Thanks, Peeps.

Well, it was actually Vult who was querying, Hutto, but anyways, you're both wrong. 157 stone, 6.62 lbs is a tonne, making you Bill Huttonne. A ton is 2,240 lbs, or 160 stone.
I apologise, in advance.

Just thought I would add that my campaign ribbons are from Edinburgh, Colchester, Berlin, Northern Ireland, Iraq (1st Gulf) and back to Edinburgh again.

I never did like the French version.  So I shall have to change my name by deed poll (or not).  Sorry, Tarks for confusing you with Vulture.  Or should I apologise to Vulture for confusing her with Tarks?
In my defence, I was trying to reply using my phone and could not see the thread.

Got the CDM and bar though.

A tonne is a metric measurement, Vult, and therefore slightly different to an imperial ton. Nothing to do with where it comes from. Where's Mince when you need him?
I apologise, in advance.

Welcome aboard Bilthehut.  Sounds like you live local, so next time Roger has one of his infamous suarees on his estate in Scotland, maybe we could lift-share up there (if we're invited, of course -- they are pretty exclusive).  Did you read about last year's in the Tatler?

Matched his beard a treat.

I don't get invited to those sort of parties, so do not read the Tatler.  I used to skim through it in the 4/7 RDG mess just for fun.

That was the Hustler, not the Tatler. Tch!
