Nice try on the mugs but my lot use government issue generally and Suzannes' [that's my better half] lot use cups which are like mugs only smaller, harder to hold and much much easier to break.   Who knew they came in sets?!

Nice also to see romance isn't dead in what I assume is Scotland, I had a Scottish girlfriend once, well more than once actually, and she frequently used the same method as a substitute for foreplay, particularly on Bingo nights as I recall.  Ah, happy but painful memories.   I'm off to clear EB*y of Beau Peep books.

Although we do seem to be straying slightly from the subject of the original post, one feels compelled to respond to what appears to be the faintest suggestion that "all is not well in the bedroom department".

I admit the thought, as expressed so elequently by yourself Roger, that perhaps I was failing somewhat in the physical expression of my [then] undying love and devotion did cross my mind.   Or at least it did once the paracetamol kicked in.   But I dismissed the possibility when the same young lady expressed quite forcefully that, and I quote, "It was the best two-and-a-half minutes of my life" [Well it was a none bingo night].

To this day I believe we would have remained forever bonded but sadly fate decided otherwise, she had to leave me to go and take care of a sick aunt who apparently lived on the one Orkney Island men were forbidden to land on [fate was ever thus cruel].   I still think of her fondly, although rarely for more than two-and-a-half minutes.

Sorry this is a tad epic, but I just finished work and needed to unwind...

I'm not really sure what this means, but I like the notion of being a bit bouncy, as for entrance examinations, least said soonest mended.   If it helps try not to think of me as a new member, but more a carbuncle [it's weak I know but I have been gagging to use that word in a sentence].

First, hello...that's the pleasantries dealt with.  I have a "vague" question which can probably only be answered by someone who has...to put it delicately...possibly too much interest in Beau Peep, you know the unhealthy kind of interest...Beau Peep pyjamas, a pillowcase with a life size head of the Nomad...

Anyway, more years ago than lots, I was sitting in my favourite barbers [sadly I don't have or need one now], and whilst awaiting my turn was browsing an old Beau Peep book which had two or three strips regarding an accountant, or about accountancy which I found particularly funny, given I was one at the time [an accountant I mean].

So before I leap over to E-B*y and part with any money-laundered loot, does anyone  possibly recall the particular book it might have been?

As a clue there was a lot of desert in it, some legionnaires, the odd camel...

I am so, so impressed!   Rather than beating the Baker I'd suspect my powers of recall first, and you may well succeeded, which is...frankly awesome!   I did some carpet bombing on E-B*y, books 9, 7, 17 and 13 are on their way allegedly.  I somehow seemed to have bid for two copies of book 6 as well, which is unsuprising given confusion and I are never very far away from each other.   Outstanding Rob, simply outstanding, thank you very much.

As for the pjyamas and the life size cut-out...absolutely nothing wrong with either, and the restraining order should be with you in the morning, you probably never wanted to visit the Isle of Man anyway...but still, best to be sure.
