It's also very similar to TTIII's rendition.

I'm willing to settle out of court.

How much do you want?
I apologise, in advance.

These coincidences happen all the time, Malc, as you well know. Go for it! I never sold mine - didn't even try. It was done for fun.
I apologise, in advance.

And assuming that man does not have velcro footwear

Does Velcro stick to masonry?

Oh wait...I know...it's the fastenings on his climbing poulaines you're talking about.

I like both versions, especially as Tarksie showed how he drew his cartoon work of art.

Notice how Tark's original version works without a punchline. Such amazing economy! And in Tark's version the woman probably did tie her hair round a solid object and then it slipped off, resulting the bloody accident, so it's even more believable in that sense as well. :)

I liked the way the video shows you doing all kinds of photoshop drawing wizardry seemingly without effort, and then right at the end it takes you three goes to sign your own name.

Most cartoonists have done a Rapunzel gag at some stage of their career. In the one that Andrew and I did for the Lads' Mags about 30 years ago, her head came off.
Not quite as subtle as Malc's.

I suppose it falls into the cartoon cliche category - desert island, trapeze artists, man on ledge, etc.

Actually, I just thought of one. Sign on door marked "Sheriff's Posse" says "gone to lynch". Bet it's been done.

Harbour master's door - "Gone To Launch"

Town Planning door - "Gone To Lunc"

That's enough doors -Ed.

Most cartoonists have done a Rapunzel gag at some stage of their career.

So the sentence "It's a funny cartoon, beautifully drawn." was your subtle way of avoiding saying: "Yeah, yeah, been there, done that, got a tshirt with something similar."

Have you any idea how many copyright laws you've just broken in your insatiable desire to prove a point, Mincey?

Loved the nose hair one though...
I apologise, in advance.
